Bache-Gabrielsen VSOP Fine Cognac | 700ML

Bache Gabrielsen VSOP Fine Cognac is made from a blend eaux-de-vie from Ugni Blanc grapes grown in the regions of Fins Bois and Petite Champagne. Allowed to mature for around seven years in oak barrels, significantly longer than the established four year rule for a VSOP, this Cognac has developed a clean and smooth taste. The wonderful fruity aromas and freshly pressed grape characteristics are due to its predominantly Fins Bois eaux-de-vie, however the touch of Petite Champagne brings a beautiful elegance to the palate.

Nose: The nose reveals aromas of mature wood and vanilla, layered with dried fruity notes of apricot, dates and almonds.

Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in flavour.

Finish: Long and surprisingly lively finish.

Bache Gabrielsen is a family-run Cognac house that was founded in 1905 by Norwegian immigrant Thomas Bache-Gabrielsen de Holmestrand. Several generations later, the company is managed by the founder’s great-grandson, Hervé Bache-Gabrielse and its high quality cognacs are produced under the watchful eye of experienced cellar master, Jean-Philippe Bergier. Bache Gabrielsen is a Cognac house currently run by Hervé Bache-Gabrielsen who is the fourth generation to take the ropes of the family business.
