Bowmore 1987 Wy is a NAS Single Malt whisky from Scotland. Bottled in 2014 at 46% this bottle will make a fine addition to any Scotland Single Malt whisky lover. Please note that this Wemyss Malts (Wy) is Hogshead. It is also worth mentioning that this is uncolored, non-chillfiltered, single cask whisky edition of Bowmore. This is one of only 231 bottles ever produced. A fact, that makes this edition even more desirable.

Bowmore 1987 Wy Sweet Peat Posy Tasting Notes

Nose: Malt, sweet lemonade, then the sweet peat comes through although it’s very lightly smoked, sweet heavy floral notes. After a while some milk chocolate and sea breeze. Very sweet one and very very floral.

Palate: Sweet peat, mellow malt and then big-time notes of flowers, hay and grass, tobacco, white pepper, oak wood spices and milk chocolate.

Finish: Long finish with sweet and floral themes. massive floral note on the front, sweet peat and delicate floral smoke follows through.

Distillery Information

Bowmore is a distillery that produces scotch whisky on the isle of Islay, an island of the Inner Hebrides. The distillery, which lies on the South Eastern shore of Loch Indaal, is one of the oldest in Scotland and is said to have been established in 1779. The distillery is owned by Beam Suntory who also own the Auchentoshan, Glen Garioch, Laphroaig and Ardmore distilleries and produce the Teacher's Highland Cream blend.
