Nose: One of Scotland's most full-bodied spirits reveals itself even when aged in Madeira: slightly fleshy hints marry perfectly with cooked fruit, plums, apples and warm spices.

Palate: Explosive, full-bodied, with Middle Eastern pastries, dates and more spices.

Finish: Dried plums and acacia honey.

Distillery Information

The Craigellachie distillery was built in 1891 by Craigellachie Distillery Co. Limited, a group of blenders and merchants led by Alexander Edward. Two years later, it was incorporated as a limited company and in 1896 it was reconstructed as Craigellachie-Glenlivet Distillery Ltd.
