Expresiones del Corazón is the collection of barrel-aged tequilas from Corazón Tequila, a tequila brand made at Casa San Matías Distillery in Jalisco. This tequila was aged for 19 months in former Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye barrels. Bottled at 80 proof. This release in June 2019 marks the fifth release for the collection. Available nationally with limited availability.

Detailed Description
Aged 19 months in Thomas H. Handy Sazerac whiskey barrels. On par with the color of the Reposado above. Lots of red pepper on the nose, with very heavy herbal notes of thyme and rosemary. The body is a surprising bit of a blazer, again with red pepper and spice — think cinnamon red hots — paving the way for notes of burnt caramel, dark chocolate, and smoldering embers of a wood fire. Fun stuff, and wholly unexpected given the general gentleness of the serieswhich could not be more wrong.

Nose: Wood, jasmine, light ginger, anise, chocolate, orange, cinnamon, clove, coconut and nutmeg.
Palate: It has a creamy texture and a flavor that is soft and inviting, with hints of Werther's candies, cinnamon spice and a touch of oak.
Finish: Refreshing.
