Glen Garioch 12 Year Old 2011 Cask #1332 - Glens & Valleys Berry Bros. & Rudd Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: As you approach the glass, the air fills with the scent of autumnal orchards, where apples and pears lie nestled amongst fallen leaves.
Palate: The first sip reveals sun-drenched raisins and dark chocolate, all swathed in the warmth of seasoned oak.
Finish: The Oloroso cask weaves threads of nutty sweetness and spice, atop a sprinkle of cinnamon. This is a journey through the seasons, from the last golden days of summer into the heart of a fireside winter’s evening.
Distillery Information
After the distillery's founding by Alexander Manson in 1797, the distillery changed hands several times during the first half of the nineteenth century, until it was finally returned to the Manson family in 1837. It remained in the families' hands until 1884, when it was sold to T.G. Thomson & Co of Leith.
