Former Amrut whisky maker Surrinder Kumar, who spent three decades helping to grow the Indian whisky category, made this Indian single in custom copper pot stills before maturing it in a combination of bourbon American oak, ex-wine French oak, and ex-sherry casks. The name derives from Mount Kamet, India’s third-highest peak, and it is distilled near Kurukshetra in Haryana. An important part of the culture there is the parrot, known in popular folklore as a messenger or a fortune teller, which is why it has pride of place on the label.

Kamet Single Malt | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Dried fruits and oaky spice are joined by notes of toffee and crème brûlée.

Palate: Vanilla, dark chocolate, and stewed fruit as well as nutmeg and cedar spice.

Finish: Orange curd and cinnamon.
