This is an incredibly rare cognac from the Napoleonic era, namely the year 1802. The precious liquid is presented in 3.41-litre demi-john style bottle, which is in great condition after more than 200 years. The Massougnes estate closed in 1874, after the phylloxera crisis ruined vines all over Europe a few years prior, making this bottle a true piece of cognac history.

Nose: Very elegant and precise aromas.
Palate: A very pleasant, rich and smooth taste in the mouth. Lovely texture.
Finish: Quite delicate and smooth texture on the long finish.

"Curator of some of the oldest single vintage and single vineyard Cognacs around, Hermitage is run from a small village in Wiltshire. Cognac expert David Baker has built. unrivalled relationships with some of the more boutique distillers in the region, allowing him to bottle extremely old and rare cognacs.
