Only 302 bottles of this Speyside single malt have been bottled as part of the First Editions series of single cask expressions from Glasgow-based independent bottler, Hunter Laing & Co. Distilled at Miltonduff distillery in 2009 and matured in a sherry finished hogshead for 8 years before bottling in 2018 at a strength of 46% abv without chill-filtration or artificial colouring.

Nose: Rich and fruity with blackcurrant, plum and honey.
Palate: Soft yet spicy, with cinnamon, malted barley and Christmas pudding.
Finish: Long, sweet and satisfying.
Distillery Information
The Miltonduff distillery lies in the Glen of Pluscarden, whose barley rich pastures once played host to as many as fifty illicit stills during the 1800s. The site was once the meal mill of Pluscarden Abbey. The Benedictine Priory of Pluscarden was founded in 1236 and had been closed for some time, until 1948 when it was reopened. The Miltonduff whisky distillery was founded by Robert Bain and Andrew Peary in 1824, shortly after the Excise Act was passed.
