        Producer Information

The Moze-Berthon vignobles is a collection of vineyards in both the Pomerol and Saint-Émilion regions of France's Bordeaux. The vineyards mostly specialize in making Merlot-dominant reds with some Cabernet Franc in the style of classic Right-Bank Bordeaux. In each of the vineyards, Merlot is mostly grown with the rest made up by Cabernet Franc. Each of the vineyards is handpicked and all of the wines are aged in French oak barrels. Owned by Patrick Moze-Berthon, the vineyards have been in his family since 1820. The Pomerol vineyards belong to Château Gouprie and cover 10 acres of gravel and clay soils. The Saint-Emilion vineyards belong to Château Vieux Chantecaille, which gained Saint-Émilion Grand Cru status in 2008. A third property belonging to the Moze-Berthon vignobles group, Château Rocher Gardat, is also in Saint-Émilion. The estate has 18 hectares of vineyard covering mostly old quarries, some of the quarry tunnels are used as ready-made cellars. All of the properties are open to the public for wine tastings.
