This expressive red delivers a combination of olive, plum, cherry, black pepper and earth aromas and flavors. Firms up nicely, with fine-grained, persistent tannins and a resonant finish.

Producer Information

The Tenuta Prima Pietra vineyard is located in a natural and uncontaminated environment. A wild landscape with a strong character, surrounded by Mediterranean scrub and with excellent soil and climatic conditions. The vines are trained according to the Guyot system, the interventions in the vineyard are minimal and respectful of the soil, the green manure and the self-produced compost naturally compensate for the nutritional needs of the soil. The high and ventilated position of the vineyard and its natural isolation from other crops make the need for defense against parasites minimal. The approach to natural viticulture adopted in Prima Pietra began in small steps several years ago, then, in 2014, the path towards organic certification began, obtained in 2016. The land is worked by hand and is aimed at conservation and enhancement of each plant, following each parcel with ad hoc interventions.
