Red Wine: 2019 | Domaine Phillipe Cheron | Gevrey Chambertin La Romanee 1er Cru
Medium intensity of colour but dark in hue. Vibrant dark-red fruits like raspberry and blackberry combined with fine notes of spice, even a hint of something woody, like sawn timber. Silky and more scented on the palate, rather delicate and pretty but with impressive length and freshness.

Producer Information
The history of the family estate began in 1930. Paul Misset, Philippe Chéron's grandfather, acquired the vines in 1930 in the communes of Voguent and Vosne-Romanée. As he was neither a winegrower nor a winemaker, he entrusted his vines to farmers from Vosne-Romanée. Two generations later, Paul Misset's grandchildren transformed the plots into a 5-hectare wine estate. An estate located on prestigious appellations; Nuits-Saint-Georges, Chambolle Musigny, Vosne Romanée and Clos de Vougeot. In 2011, Philippe Chéron takes over the family estate and gives the vines the benefit of his wisdom. The vines, which are on average 40 years old, are planted exclusively with Pinot Noir. Philippe Chéron's challenge is to preserve the family heritage while respecting the old vines, which is why the vineyard's cultivation practices are based on sustainable viticulture.
