Kleine Zalze is a wine estate located in the Stellenbosch wine region of South Africa. The winery is known for producing a range of premium wines, including Shiraz, Chenin Blanc, and Cabernet Sauvignon.The winery was established in 1695, and over the years, it has been owned by several families. In 1996, the winery was purchased by Kobus Basson, who focused on modernizing the winemaking techniques and improving the quality of the wines.Today, Kleine Zalze has several vineyards located in the Stellenbosch region, which is known for its diverse soils and microclimates. The winery produces a range of wines, including red, white, and sparkling wines. Some of their most well-known wines include their Chenin Blanc, which is consistently rated as one of the best Chenin Blancs in South Africa, and their Shiraz, which has won several awards at international wine competitions.
