A First Cask bottling of single malt Scotch whisky from the Blair Athol Distillery up in the Highlands region. It was distilled back in 1976 and allowed 26 years of rest in a single cask. After over a quarter of a century of maturation, the First Cask team deemed it ready to enjoy and bottled it up at 46% ABV. Nose: Nose is complex yet not overwhelming.
Palate: A splendid taste with a warm feel to it. Not too smoky but silky smooth.
