Clan Colla 11 Year Old 2009 - Oloroso & Peated Cask Finish | 700ML

From Ahascragh Distillery's Clan Colla range comes this unique Irish whiskey. A blend of malt and grain whiskeys, it was initially aged in bourbon barrels before being finished in both oloroso sherry butts and casks which previously held peated whisky! It was bottled at 11 years old for the Family Bond series, full of warming smoke and spices.

Nose: Earthy smoke, chocolate fudge, dried cherry.

Palate: Runny honey, salted caramel, marmalade, and raisins.

Finish: Fragrant smokiness and flamed citrus peel.

Ahascragh Distillery will be a state-of-the-art distillery and visitor experience in the West of Ireland.The old Ahascragh mill dates back to the early 1800s and up until the 1950s processed grain into flour. Located in the heart of the village and steeped in history, the mill complex has remained derelict for the past 70 years. We are giving the building a new lease of life with plans for a world class experience and hospitality destination inside a working craft distillery in the village of Ahascragh, County Galway.
