Mannochmore 15 Year Old 2008 (cask 15693) - Woodrow's of Edinburgh Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML

15-year-old single malt from Mannochmore, distilled in 2008 and finished for a generous three years in a first fill oloroso sherry hogshead from Bodegas Fernando de Castilla. Independently bottled by Woodrow's of Edinburgh in 2023, a release of 281 bottles.

Nose: Sweet notes of poached orchard fruit, drizzled with syrup, honeyed sultanas, and oaken vanilla.

Palate: Waxed citrus, marmalade, apple flapjack, and festive spice support oily barley.

Finish: Porridge with honey, soft notes of apricot, more orchard fruits, and a smidge of ginger heat.

Distillery Information

The distillery was founded in 1971 by John Haig & Co. Between 1985 and 1989, production was suspended and the distillery closed; it was then reopened and in 1992 started producing a Mannochmore single malt.
