First bottled in 1912 by Edouard Martell, this classic Cognac is Martell's flagship brand and has become synonymous with the highest standard of quality. Cordon Bleu remains many connoisseurs' favourite expression of Martell.

Nose: Aromas of orchard fruits like crystallized plums and apples, and roasted notes of mocha coffee, toasted almonds, and vetiver.

Palate: Well-rounded mellow mouthfeel.

Finish: Sustained finish of fruit, spice notes, gingerbread and roasted cocoa beans.

Distillery Information

The Martell family estate is situated in the heart of Borderies cru, in Cherves Richemont. The origins of the Château date back to the 16th century but it has since been turned into a guesthouse. House Martell is the eldest of the major Cognac houses. Founded in 1715 by Jean Martell along the banks of the Charente, at the pinnacle of the French “L’Art de Vivre.”
