Talisker 12 Year Old 2009 (cask 15638) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing) | 700ML

A single malt Scotch whisky from the terrific Talisker Distillery, independently bottled up by Douglas Laing. This one spent 12 years maturing in a single refill hogshead, from 2009 t0 2022, and then it was bottled up for the Old Particular series with an outturn of 355 bottles.

Nose: Liquorice, charred oak, and fresh mango.

Palate: Nutty malt leading into vanilla and honey, with sea salt building in the background.

Finish: Fruitier on the finish, with pear and strawberry. Still has the classic Talisker salinity.

Talisker is the oldest working distillery on the Isle of Skye, enjoying a long and very successful history. Talisker has been the recipient of numerous accolades and medals from prestigious national and international competitions and boasts an incredible core range that includes Talisker 10 Year Old, a gold medal winner at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2017 and 'Best Islands Single Malt' at the 2017 World Whiskies Awards, as well as Talisker 18 Year Old, which won ‘Best Single Malt In The World' at the World Whiskies Awards 2007.
