Distillery Information

Teeling Whiskey Distillery was founded in Dublin in 2015, marking the return of independent distilling to the city after decades of decline in Irish whiskey production. The Teeling family, however, has roots in Dublin whiskey dating back to 1782, carrying forward a long heritage while embracing modern experimentation. The “Wonders of Wood” series focuses specifically on how uncommon oak species influence maturation, with each release showcasing a different wood origin. Carpathian oak, sourced from Eastern Europe, is prized for its dense grain and intense spice contribution, giving this edition a more structured and robust personality compared to traditional Irish whiskey maturation styles.
