The whiskey itself remains the signature Blend No. 40, developed through the collaboration between Chris Stapleton and Buffalo Trace Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley after more than 50 blends were evaluated. Its profile combines vanilla, aged fruit, buttery shortbread, caramel, oak, spice, and toasted nuts.

Nose: Vanilla, dried and aged fruit, buttery shortbread, toasted nuts, caramel, and subtle oak with gentle baking spice.

Palate: Smooth and balanced, with caramel, vanilla, butterscotch, sweet fruit, toasted almond, and soft oak, followed by a touch of warming spice.

Finish: Robust and lingering, with toasted nuts, caramel, oak, gentle spice, and lingering sweetness.

Distillery Information

Traveller Whiskey is the result of a collaboration between Grammy Award-winning artist Chris Stapleton and Buffalo Trace Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley. More than 50 custom blends were sampled before Blend No. 40 was selected as the final expression. Buffalo Trace Distillery, founded in Frankfort, Kentucky, traces its distilling history back more than 200 years and is recognized as the oldest continuously operating distillery in the United States. Traveller represents a modern extension of that heritage, combining Buffalo Trace's whiskey stocks with a contemporary, approachable blended-whiskey style.
