The Ven A Mi Reposado is a Mezcal, which is a Tequila style drink made throughout Mexico. Tequila has to be made from the Blue Agave plant whereas Mezcal can use a variety of Agave plants. The other difference is that the plant is often cooked underground using charcoal giving Mezcal a smoky aroma and flavour. This Ven A Mi is a Reposado, which translates as 'rested', meaning that it has spent a number of months in wooden barrels lending the Mezcal an oaky flavour on top of its herbaceous smokiness.
