This single malt is produced at the famous distillery in Hokkaido. Normally this whisky has a peaty, smoky character in which it is not inferior to the Scottish variants from Islay. However, this version offers you the chance to discover the Yoichi in a new light: unpeated.

Nose: Great elegance and charm on the nose.

Palate: Malty, fruity and spicy.

Distillery Information

Masataka Taketsuru was born in 1894, 60km from Hiroshima. He was born into an old family that had been making sake for centuries and Masataka intended to go into the family business. In 1918, he travelled to Scotland and enrolled at Glasgow University, majoring in chemistry.
