The nose is expressive, pure and airy with fine elegance and nice complexity. The relatively dense flavors are sweet, rich and offer good flavor authority and a bit more power and length at the expense of slightly less definition.

      Detailed Description

The nose is expressive, pure and airy with fine elegance and nice complexity. The relatively dense flavors are sweet, rich and offer good flavor authority and a bit more power and length at the expense of slightly less definition. Very laid-back but structured wine finishing with suave tannins and strong soil tones. Clearly the best of this set of samples.

        Reviews:

        • Wine Cellar: Good deep red. Captivating, soil-inflected aromas of redcurrant, cherry, chocolate, mocha, underbrush, menthol and spices. Suave and velvety, with a restrained sweetness and subtle notes of flowers and spices. Very laid-back but structured wine finishing with suave tannins and strong soil tones. Clearly the best of this set of samples.
        • James Suckling: This has added a lot of weight since I last saw it from barrel and it frankly seems like a completely different wine as what was an extremely light-bodied wine is now big, rich, full, sappy and while there was lovely complexity, now there is even more. This finishes with fine length and very firm tannins.
