      Detailed Description

While Aglianico can often produce dense, tannic wines, this is a wine of striking elegance with tannins refined by more than six years of bottle ageing. Rustic yet precise.

      Producer Information

Born from the adjacent "red" soils of the Bari Murgia , our products are the maximum expression that we of the Archetipo are able to grasp from our vineyards, as they are not "technical" products (artifacts), but starting from the ground, then to the plants and after the processing of the grapes we try to leave the taste, aroma and color of our wines unchanged. The question that has been haunting the wine world for about twenty years should not be overlooked, i.e. the question of yeasts selected according to the logic of a globalization of taste, which, to be clear, are flattening and unifying the vast variety of flavors and aromas present in Nature. For this reason, the archetype by virtue of this name has decided to "use" only and exclusively autochthonous yeasts, i.e. yeasts belonging to our lands, yeasts developed in our climate and accustomed to living in an ecosystem where the synergy between microflora and microfauna is very important to give that true taste to our wines. This authentic expression of our lands is also preserved by the non-filtration of the wines, because this operation would take away that authenticity and gustatory value that it presents at the end of the refinement period; for this reason, the Archetipo advises its customers to decant the wines, in order to appreciate the true taste and at the same time a clean product from the first sip.
