Unlike many people, I didn't fall into trouble at birth. Coming from a rural family on my mother's side, my parents always had activities unrelated to agriculture. I owe my connection with the land to my maternal grandmother and her vegetable garden. The latter knew how to pass on to me her passion for the land and the dream of becoming a wine grower matured slowly but without really hope, having no land to cultivate. But my dream came true thanks to Cupid. In 1993, I started working on my father-in-law's farm where he taught me his know-how, the demands and above all the passion. In the year 2000, I created my own wine farm with land that I exploit either on a rental or sharecropping basis in the communes of Rasteau and Buisson, which represents an area of ​​15 hectares. I had become a wine grower but a new challenge attracted me: if love and respect for the earth were present every day, I wanted to highlight it: pick the sun-drenched grape clusters by hand, make them fall asleep and improve them. fruits in order to share and taste this union, a desire to produce wine. With a helping hand from fate, a friend, André Roméro, agreed to rent his old cellar to me for the 2002 harvest, I could create my wine and give birth to Domaine La Collière. Finally my dream, with an important challenge: strict selection with the greatest care, production of the wine to respect the environment, traditional winemaking allows me to discover a Côtes du Rhône that deserves your attention. In 2003, produced from the best grape varieties to extract all the power and complexity of the aromas and tannins: a Côtes du Rhône Rouge and a Côtes du Rhône Cuvée Oubliée (aged in cellars) acquire a structure and a framework that makes them wines for keeping. Thanks to the acquisition of a new plot, the following year arrived with a novelty, the vinification of Rasteau, officially recognized and classified. The work started will offer a complete range and in particular to develop a sweet red Rasteau wine. Domaine La Collière is maturing, and while strolling along the road of a thousand flavors; you will discover that it brings wines of great frankness with subtle aromas for your greatest pleasure, which will be a moment of sharing and will be worthy on your table.
