Straw yellow. Fruity nose with citrus and slightly spicy notes. In the mouth it is full, delicate and soft, easy to drink. The slightly bitter finish will improve with bottle ageing. The flavor and minerality go well with the fragrant fruit of the Vermentino.
Producer Information
Montepepe winery is located on the lower slopes of a hill near Montignoso (Massa Carrara) a few kilometers from the Versilia sea, in the area of the DOC Colli di Candia and IGT Costa Toscana. The proximity of the sea and the Apuan Alps creates a special microclimate, made of windy summers and mild winters. The extension of the vineyard is about 5 hectare and he is equally divided between red and white varieties cultivated with a head-trained pruning of the vines and an espalier training and vines planted at 0,6 meters from each other.
