David & Nadia is an acclaimed family-owned winery based on the Paardebosch farm in the Swartland region of South Africa, founded in 2010 by husband-and-wife duo David and Nadia Sadie. David studied viticulture and oenology at the University of Stellenbosch, where he met Nadia, a qualified soil scientist and viticulturist. Operating as a core part of the Swartland Independent Producers movement, the couple specializes in dry-farmed, low-yielding old bush vines planted across diverse granitic, schist, and shale soils. Nadia oversees biological and organic viticulture practices—avoiding synthetic herbicides and nurturing soil life—while David manages a non-interventionist cellar that utilizes spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts and measured, minimal sulfur additions. Their celebrated portfolio is anchored by world-class, high-acid, and textural single-variety Chenin Blancs and Grenaches, alongside legendary regional blends like the white Aristargos (a Chenin-based Rhône-variety composite) and the red Elpidios.
