Auchentoshan 2000 LMDW 15 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Auchentoshan 2000 LMDW is a 15 year old Single Malt whisky from Scotland. Distilled at 60.3% this bottle will make a fine addition to any Scotland Single Malt whisky lover. Please note that this La Maison du Whisky (LMDW) is Bourbon Barrel. It is also worth mentioning that this is uncolored, non-chillfiltered, cask strength, single cask whisky edition of Auchentoshan. This is one of only 159 bottles ever produced. A fact, that makes this edition even more desirable.

Auchentoshan 2000 LMDW 15 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: Nose is characterized by bewitching aromas of linden blossom, pear and pineapple. When aerated, it becomes vanilla and licorice, which is also reminiscent of a great white wine from Savennières.

Palate: Lively, the attack on the palate reveals fresh fruit (apple, pear) and half the palate of candied citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit).

Finish: Long, the finish is in turn exotic and deliciously nuanced.

Distillery Information

Auchentoshan is the only distillery in Scotland to practice triple distillation for 100% of its distillates. At the exit of the third still, the heart of the heating measures between 80 and 82% compared to approximately 70% for a whiskey resulting from a double distillation. Wonderfully restoring the fruity, floral, herbaceous and malty notes that have made the reputation of this single malt, this version overflowing with naturalness has an innate intrinsic quality: charm. It is therefore not surprising that it evokes in a striking way one of the greatest French wines.
