Detailed Description

A very rich, thick and sumptuous dessert sherry from Barbadillo. This has a rich prune, raisin flavour and goes superbly well with rich desserts.

Distillery Information

Sherry is a type of fortified wine made from white grapes. It is typically aged for several years in barrels, which gives it its distinct flavour. It is also used in many dessert recipes. Sherry is a versatile wine that can be enjoyed on its own or paired with food. Sherry is perhaps the most outrageously overlooked wine in the world. Sherry (in our humble opinion) tends to suffer from the same problem as whisky. Go and ask 5 of your friends, and I'll pretty much guarantee that at least 3 of them will not like sherry because they once tried a monstrosity lurking at the back of an aunt's drinks cabinet, and have decreed that all sherry is of that ilk, and hence not for them. Sherry's cool, crisp, slightly saline refreshment provided by a Manzanilla is something that has very little equal in the world. And as for some of the super-duper aged Pedro Ximenez sherries that are out there? Well, I struggle to think of any other drink that sometimes requires a spoon to partake of.
