The Bootjack Rye is a love letter to Maryland Rye Whiskey of the past. The carefully selected mash bill is made from heirloom, non-GMO traditional varietals of rye, red wheat and corn painstakingly stone ground in house using a historic stone burr mill. This high-rye, wheated whiskey is a beautiful blend of high-quality, historic ingredients made with cutting edge distilling practices.

Nose: Aroma is very pleasant and delightful.

Palate: On the palate it is very elegant, rich and full-bodied.

Finish: Finish is very smooth and long.

Distillery Information

McClintock Young was a renowned inventor in the 1800’s, whose inspirations shaped history far beyond the borders of his hometown of Frederick. Born in 1836, McClintock moved to Frederick as a young man to follow his passion for innovation. His vision and influence on history were extraordinary, but their impact would have been lost to time had it not been for a fortuitous discovery a few years ago. In the foothills above Frederick stands an old stone cabin whose contents and history had been locked away for generations.
