Convalmore 36 Year Old Prima & Ultima is a limited-edition Speyside single malt whisky produced at the Convalmore Distillery in Dufftown, Scotland. The now-demolished Victorian Convalmore Distillery was dedicated to producing its distinctively waxy make spirit for use in proprietary blends. This rare 36-year-old single malt was distilled in 1983, just a few months before the Speyside distillery closed its doors.

Nose: Delicate and impressive depth on the nose.

Palate: A very pleasant, rich and smooth taste in the mouth. Lovely texture.

Finish: Elegant long lasting aftertaste.

Distillery Information

The fourth of Dufftown's famed seven stills, Convalmore was built in 1893/4 as part of the last Victorian gold rush. Its original owners failed and ownership passed to the leading Glasgow broker-blender W.P. Lowrie and from there to James Buchanan when he bought Lowrie's business.
