Detailed Description

Coruba Jamaica Rum is proud to be 100% natural and 100% Jamaican. The original Coruba Dark Rum, inspired by the dark Planter’s style rums for which Jamaica is known, is a blend of pot and column still rums that has been aged for at least two years in American oak barrels. The result is an authentic rum that’s dark by nature but light in spirit, offering an approachability ideal for a traditional Planter’s Punch or any cocktail worthy of a dark rum float.

Coruba Dark Rum 1L Tasting Notes

Nose: On nosing, there is limited astringency, a bit of spice, and an ample dose of smoky molasses backed by the signature Jamaican buttery funk (hogo).

Palate: Beyond the funky notes is a goodly amount of caramel and fruit including cantaloupe and green apple. As the rum enters, it does so with the same smoky molasses note, caramel, toffee, and cream.

Finish: The dry finish is short and dominated by the bitter saccharin note.
