Deanston 2006 12 Year Old Fino Finish Single Malt Scotch Whisky

This limited edition Highland single malt is the first expression from Deanston to be matured in fino sherry casks. Matured first in ex-bourbon casks for almost a decade, this expression has been finished for two and a half years in fino sherry casks before being bottled aged 12 years old.

Nose: Herbal and grassy with sweet honey notes, dried fruit, subtle caramel and a gentle spice.

Palate: Dried fruits, honey, citrus and a herbal spice with rich toffee notes underneath.

Finish: Dry and spicy with fruity hints.

Distillery Information

Deanston distillery is a Single Malt Scotch whisky distillery located on the banks of the River Teith, eight miles from the historic town of Stirling, at the gateway to the dramatic Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. It is the largest distillery owned by Scotch whisky producer Distell Group Limited, who also own Bunnahabhain Distillery on the Isle of Islay and Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull.
