£161.00

Whiskey: Forty Creek Canadian Confederation Oak Reserve

Released to celebrate Canada’s 1867 Confederation, this whisky is finished in new Canadian oak for two years.

Size: 750mL

Proof: 80 (40% ABV)

Origin: Canada

Distillery: Forty Creek Distillery

Detailed Description

The whisky is composed of rye, barley, and corn which are individually distilled and aged in white oak. When the whisky is ready to be married, they are then transferred to Canadian oak barrels. The trees used for these barrels were harvested from about 40 miles from the distillery. They are estimated to have been over 150 years old which they would have just been rooted around the time of Canada's Confederation; a time when three British Colonies became four provinces and thus began the creation of Canada as we know it.
