Bellefontaine Reserve is our Wisconsin Straight Bourbon, extra-aged for five and a half years in new, charred oak barrels, slowly reduced and finished for another eight months in ex-V.S.O.P. Cognac barrels.
J. Henry & Sons Wisconsin Straight Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Strong caramel and vanilla at first, layered over confectioner’s sugar, butterscotch, and buttery oak.
Palate: Quite warm and spicy on the palate, with more caramel, red fruit and black pepper.
Finish: Some faint dried fruit on the finish.
