This beautiful and rare Karuizawa is part of the hugely popular “36 Views of Mount Fuji” series. The series features landscape prints by the famous Japanese artist, Hokusai, and the bottles are highly collectable today. This 1st edition presents “The Great Wave of Kanagawa” and the liquid inside is of supreme quality, as we have come to expect from the Karuizawa distillery. A very rare whisky that is extremely hard to find anywhere else.

Nose: The aromas have alight fruit notes with malt and spice.

Palate: Smooth and soft with good sweetness and winter spice.

Finish: Finish is long, spicy and smooth.

Distillery Information

Karuizawa distillery was a Japanese whisky distillery. It was located at Miyota, a town on the southern slopes of an active complex volcano, Mount Asama, in Kitasaku District, Nagano Prefecture, Japan. Established in 1955, the distillery began production in 1956.
