Kilbeggan Single Pot Still was made from a mash of malted barley, raw barley and 2.5% oats. The whiskey is said to be “soft and mellow”, with fruit flavours and “light, lingering spice and a rich, creamy mouthfeel”. Single pot still whiskeys are only produced in Ireland, at a single distillery that is double or triple distilled from a mix of malted and unmalted barley, and up to 5% of other grains.
Kilbeggan Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey Tasting Notes.
Nose: Orange blossom, apricot and green apple. Touch of spice and almond.
Palate: Grain again, with plenty of lemon and yogurt leading to a lot of salivation. Toasted nuts and white bread with a honey sweetness.
Finish: Calm and collected finish.

Cooley Distillery is an Irish whiskey distillery, located on the Cooley Peninsula in County Louth, Ireland, converted in 1987 from an older potato alcohol plant by John Teeling.
