A rare bottling from Ladyburn, opened in 1966 and closed in 1975. This is one of only a handful of bottlings from the distillery, and one of the even smaller number of official releases. Just 3,000 bottles were released, a 27 year old, single cask edition, distilled in 1973 at the now closed Ladyburn distillery.

Ladyburn 1973 Vintage Cask #3167 Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: The nose is quite light and dry with notes of heather roots, a touch of wood, waxy honeysuckle and blossom. There is a delicate barley sweetness.
Palate: The palate is quite dry and of medium-body. There is a hint of zesty citrus with honeyed sweetness, a touch of spice and pepper with a pungent honeycomb waxiness. The oak develops with dryness and chewy tannins.
Finish: The finish is long, with a touch of acacia honey sweetness and dry peppery oak.
Distillery Information
The Ladyburn distillery was a producer of single malt Scotch whisky that operated between 1966 and 1975. The Ladyburn distillery was an expansion of the Girvan distillery, itself built in 1963 by William Grant & Sons Ltd. The Ladyburn malt whisky distillery was created in 1966 with the addition of two pot stills. The malt portion of the distillery was closed in 1975 and demolished in 1976.
