The craft Rum Agrícola da Madeira producer O Reizinho does some of the most vibrant, delightful, and intriguing rums you'll ever try. This one was rested for nine months to create a really balanced spirit, there's still lots of character from the spirit of the new make sugarcane juice (grassy green olive and crisp white summer fruits), while the ex-Madeira fortified wine cask provides dried fruit and softens the spirit, adding weight and mouthfeel.

Distillery Information

Created in 1982 by the owner, Florentino Izildo Gouveia Ferreira, the mill “O Reizinho (The Little King)” started with the traditional practice of grinding and the production of homemade rum. Today, the company produces liqueurs, rum and other spirits. His rum “O Reizinho” has won several awards at national and international level, including the gold medal at the World Rum Awards in 2019, and two gold medals at the China Wine & Spirits Awards in 2020. It is now marketed in Madeira, London and France.
