Ramazzotti has been producing bitter Amaro since 1815 when founder Ausano Ramazzotti created a recipe that called from 33 herbs and roots from all over the world. Now you can enjoy an aperitivo Ramazzotti would have been proud of himself with this, fresh and fruity edition that features a selection of high-quality spices from Fair Trade markets.

Ramazzotti Aperitivo Rosato Liqueur Tasting Notes

Nose: Pink grapefruit and orange zest with strawberry jelly.

Palate: Hardly bitter at all, more like a zesty orange cordial with faint bitterness. Flavours of zesty orange marmalade and pink grapefruit predominate.

Finish: Short finish, zesty orange and grapefruit with strawberry and lingering light bitter rootyness.

Distillery Information

Ramazzotti was founded in 1815 by Ausano Ramazzotti whose name lives on with the company. He began producing an Italian amaro bitters liqueur. Later, he expanded into coffee shops and began offering a mixture of his herbal liqueur in coffee. It was briefly silent durring World War II to reopen in 1947. It expanded in the latter part of the 20th century until acquired by Pernod-Ricard in 1985.
