Soho Lychee liqueur was first released in 2006 as the first lychee flavored liqueur available in the United States. The press release promises "powerful aromas of sweet ripened lychee."It presents crystal clear in the bottle. (The lychee nut is a bright red Asian fruit grown in Southeast Asia.)
Soho Lychee Liqueur Tasting Notes
Nose: Pungent, candied fruit led by peach, with lychee boiled sweets and rose.
Palate: Intense tinned lychees with lychee casing, stone and leaves, with a palate that balances acidity, alcohol and sweetness.
Finish: Lingering acidity with tinned lychees and lychee stone.
Distillery Information
This production facility is so named because its famous cellars were built in 1892 by the Violet brothers to make Byrrh, their successful aromatised wine brand which is still made here.
