Campbeltown's Springbank Distillery produces some excellent peaty treats under the Springbank name (it also makes Hazelburn and Longrow whiskies - all are fab), but for this expression, they've paired the peat with something wonderfully sweet - rum! This 15 year old single malt was drawn from rum casks, which have imparted vibrant tropical fruit notes, bringing a delicious juxtaposition to the flavour profile.

Nose: Sweet tropical fruits and marshmallow with a touch of peat.
Palate: Velvety smooth with rich pavlova, toffee apple and pecan pie alongside some yuzu fruit.
Finish: Gently drying with an earthy note from the dunnage warehouses.
Distillery Information
The Springbank distillery is a family-owned single malt whisky distillery on the Kintyre Peninsula in western Scotland. It is owned by J & A Mitchell & Company, who also owns the Glengyle Distillery, the oldest independent bottler, William Cadenheads, and several blended scotch labels.
