The Boutique-y folks have bottled up a 6 year old single malt from the distillery on the east coast of Islay, and it features a reference to the magnificent view Caol Ila has. It looks out across the water to neighbouring island, Jura - the deer population of which you can see charging towards the distillery!
That Boutique-y Caol Ila 6 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: Toasted rye and Sesame Snaps, with a hint of thyme honey.
Palate: Barley forward, though honey stills plays a part. Seaweed, salted lemon and crystallised ginger.
Finish: Lasting peat smoke and spicy caraway.

Caol Ila Distillery is situated on the North Eastern shores of Islay with magnificent views across the Sound of Islay to the spectacular Paps of Jura.
