Filled to a single bourbon cask (number 16207) on the 27th of October 1969 at the Glenrothes distillery, this bottle has spent almost 50 years maturing and mellowing in this single cask before being bottled in 2018. Brought to us by the explorers of malt whisky at The Last Drop company, this luxurious cask has only produced 141 bottles meaning that only a lucky few will ever get the chance to sample its deep and warming unique flavours. With each bottle displayed in a beautiful leather box and complete with a replica 5cl sample and leather-bound book with space for your very own tasting notes, this bottle is the perfect addition to anyone’s collection.

Nose: Open and fruity with notes of papaya and mango that eventually give way to sandalwood and distinct toffee notes.

Palate: The texture is smooth with a delightful sweet and sour taste with note of honey, fudge and vanilla twisting through the mouth.

Finish: Long and filled with spice.

Distillery Information

Glen Grant is situated just near Rothes, which is also the hometown of Glenrothes Whisky. The river Spey feeds the distillery.

James and John Grant, both brothers, founded the distillery in 1840. They were once in the business of illegal distilling. When they wanted to get on the legal side with a license they decided to start with Glen Grant.
