Detailed Description

West Cork Distillers has announced the re-release of their Black Reserve Irish Whiskey in 2018. After completely selling out of the 4,800 bottles imported into the U.S. last year, consumer demand prompted the company to release another 4,800 bottles into this market next year. West Cork Black Reserve is made by blending malted (36%) and un-malted grain whiskey, aged in Bourbon Casks, for 4-to-5 years before being finished in lightly toasted, heavily charred #4 first-fill bourbon casks for an additional six months. This process produces a slightly smoky, vanilla-rich sweet whiskey, the company says. It’s bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof).
