It has a pure deep red ruby colour. As a young wine, its perfumes evoke violets and sweet fruits. After a long cellaring these become precious and complex, with undertones of fallen leaves, earth and moss, together with gamey notes of leather and fur.

Domaine Moine-Hudelot in Chambolle-Musigny was originally a small family farm, managed by Daniel Moine, the former mayor of Chambolle-Musigny, before being bought in 2008 by Patrick Landanger of the Domaine de la Pousse d'Or. The domaine no longer exists as such today but its wines remain appreciated by informed wine lovers.
