Rich and satisfying. Cabernet Sauvignon Fam 2000 displays red cherry, baked strawberry, and horehound vanilla aromas with hints of fig and coffee bean. This medium- to full-bodied wine showcases a rich mix of berry, chocolate, and buttery caramel flavors set against a beautifully integrated backdrop of toasted oak, all leading to a seamless, long finish of currant, blueberry, and warm oak notes.

Producer Information

Charles Krug is the oldest commercially run winery in Napa Valley, California. Founded in 1861 by Charles Krug, the winery is located in the St Helena appellation, and is run by the Mondavi family. Charles Krug make a large range of wines, most notably the Vintage Selection Cabernet Sauvignon. The most coveted wines include the flagship Vintage Selection Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from the best fruit from the vineyard holdings in Yountville. Additionally, the Generations Cabernet Sauvignon blend, which Marc Mondavi first produced in 1991 is also met with high acclaim and status. The more affordable Napa Valley range includes a Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Charles Krug also produces a few Limited Release wines, notably the Cold Springs Cabernet Sauvignon from Howell Mountain.
