Domaine Nicolas Rossignol also produces a single Chardonnay from vines in Pernand-Vergelesses. The estate's founder, Nicolas Rossignol, is descended from a long line of Volnay winegrowers and initially learnt his craft on the family estate, Domaine Rossignol-Jeanniard. He went on to establish his own domaine in 1997, acquiring three hectares (seven acres) of vines in the villages of Volnay, Pommard, Beaune, Aloxe-Corton and Pernand-Vergelesses.
