The estate lies within one of Sonoma County's newest AVAs, Fountaingrove District, which covers land between Mount Hood and Diamond Mountain in the western Mayacamas mountains. The 22 hectare (55 acre) vineyard is located on mountainous slopes altitudes ranging from 900-1700ft (270 to 520m) above sea level. The soils are composed of volcanic basalt and sandy loam, and the vineyard is planted almost entirely to Cabernet Sauvignon with single blocks of Petit Verdot and Chardonnay.
