Dulce Vida 5 Year Extra Añejo Tequila

The extra añejo is aged over five years in used merlot and cabernet savuignon wine barrels from Napa Valley's Rombauer yielding a dark amber color with glints of ruby. Their agaves are 100% organic and like all of their releases, is 100 proof.

Nose: A vanilla sweetness on the nose is bolstered by dark chocolate infused with chili and cinnamon and abetted by caramel and honey.

Palate: On the palate there's a suggestion of rhum agricole made more macho with agave and spice.

Finish: The finish is lovely and lingering, its heat banked beautifully but still apparent.
