Detailed Description

Matured in Spanish top quality oloroso sherry casks in special editions, Kavalan Solist Sherry is bottled at the distillery, without any colouring or chill-filtration. It is a naturally smooth and rich whisky with a complex character. It is clean and complex with multi-layers of dried fruit, nuttiness and spices with some marzipan and vanilla touches to it as well.

Kavalan Oloroso Sherry Oak Taiwanese Single Malt Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich sherry-cask notes – dates, prunes and raisins, with spice and savoury umami touches.

Palate: Sweet and thick, with dried berries, black pepper, tobacco and dark chocolate.

Finish: The dark chocolate fades to reveal sweet fruit.

Distillery Information

Situated at the cross boundary of Yi-Lan mountains, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the King Car distillery has been creating something that many thought would never happen: Taiwanese whisky. Naming their brand after the indigenous people that originally inhabited that area, the Kavalan, was a way to show how genuine King Car Group wanted to be with their new project.
